Thanks Giving?

In Britain we do not have thanks giving so I have no idea what it it, I need someone to explain what it is to me.Is it like christmas or is that the same??

Thanks Giving is a celebration of giving thanks! Whether it is for a healthy family member or friend, the meal you eat, the new pet you got, doing good in school, etc, that is Thanks Giving. It is a day celebrated to give thanks!
